Yutorelo Nikko is an inexpensive ryokan style inn on the shore of Lake Chuzenji. Formerly this hotel was called Hotel Kohantei Chuzenji Lake, but it reopened under new management and with a new name in the spring of 2020.
Yutorelo Nikko has a range of affordable guest rooms and dormitory beds available which are suitable for families, couples, or single travelers. The hotel’s facilities include a hot spring spa with indoor and outdoor communal mineral baths, an on-site restaurant, and a self-service laundry. Yutorelo Nikko is located a short walk from the famous Kegon Falls and is also convenient for hiking and boating activities around Lake Chuzenji.
Guest Rooms & Dormitories
Yutorelo Nikko has 73 guest rooms over 5 floors. Guest rooms come in Western style with twin beds, Japanese style with futons, or mixed Japanese and Western style which have beds and some traditional Japanese furnishings. All guest rooms overlook the lake. Guest rooms are supplied with air conditioning and heating, a TV, a refrigerator, an electric kettle, slippers and a traditional yukata (light cotton kimono) as lounge wear. Private bathrooms are supplied with toothbrushes, combs, razors, towels, cotton buds, a hair dryer, soap, shampoo and conditioner.
There are also dormitories with bunk beds which are suitable for budget travelers. There is both a mixed dormitory and a female-only dormitory. Dormitories have shared shower and washing facilities, but guests in the female dormitory have their own female-only shower room and powder room. Dormitory guests have access to towels, toothbrushes, combs, razors and a hair dryer.

Yutorelo Nikko has its own on-site restaurant serving both Western style and traditional Japanese cuisine using the finest local ingredients. A set Japanese breakfast is available each morning which consists of rice, soup, grilled fish, pickles and other side dishes. For dinner a variety of course meals are available featuring appetizers and fish, meat, pasta and dessert courses.

Free Wi-Fi internet access is available in all guest rooms and public areas of the hotel.
This hotel has a hot spring spa with communal baths separated by gender. There are both indoor and outdoor baths which have natural mineral waters which are believed to be very good for the skin. The spa is open from 15.00 to 24.00 and from 6.00 to 9.00.
This hotel has its own self-service laundry area with coin operated machines. There is also a shared relaxation area with games and puzzles, an electric kettle, a microwave oven, and an oven toaster.
Bicycles are available to borrow from the hotel which can be used to explore the local area.
Location
Yutorelo Nikko is a ten-minute walk from Chuzenji Onsen Bus Terminal. The bus terminal is about 50 minutes by bus from the JR Nikko and Tobu Nikko stations. Here is a map showing the hotel’s location.
