Nikko Guesthouse Sumica is a friendly hostel in a traditional Japanese house providing budget accommodation suitable for backpackers, cyclists, and hikers traveling in groups or alone. This guesthouse is clean, comfortable, and tastefully furnished and includes self-catering and self-service laundry facilities. Nikko Guesthouse Sumica’ location is extremely convenient for the JR Nikko and Tobu Nikko stations and there are plenty of shopping and dining facilities in the surrounding area.

Guest Rooms & Dormitories
This guesthouse has a mixture of dormitories and private guest rooms. There are separate male, female and mixed dormitories where guests sleep in bunk beds. Each bunk bed has its own reading lamp and power outlet. There are also private rooms suitable for one or two guests which are Japanese-style rooms with tatami mat flooring and futons for beds.

A family sized room with four bunk beds is also available. All shower and toilet facilities are shared. However, shampoo, conditioner, and body soap are complimentary. Towels and hair dryers are also provided at no extra cost. All the rooms, dormitories and shared areas are completely non-smoking.

Guesthouse Sumica has a kitchen for self-catering which is equipped with a refrigerator, a microwave, an induction hob, a rice cooker, and cooking utensils. There are plenty of cafés in the area around the guesthouse where guests can buy a Japanese or Western style breakfast, and there are restaurants serving sushi, noodles, and western food. There is also a bakery 1 minute from the guesthouse and a 24-hour Family Mart convenience store which is a 3 minute walk away where guests can buy cheap snacks, drinks, and other basic groceries.

Reception staff are friendly, helpful, speak English, and are happy to give advice on local sightseeing, shopping, and dining locations. Check-in time is between 16.00 and 21.00, and check-out time is by 10.30. The guesthouse is closed between 13.00 and 15.00. Luggage storage is available.
Lockers are available for guests’ valuables.
Free high speed Wi-Fi internet access is available throughout the building.
