Hatago Nagomi is a hot spring resort hotel overlooking Lake Chuzenji in the Okunikko region of Nikko. “Hatago” means “inn” in Japanese and “Nagomi” means “calm”, so this is a traditional hot spring inn where you can relax and take your ease. In addition to hot spring baths this hotel also has its own restaurant which serves healthy breakfasts and gourmet course dinners. All rooms at Hatago Nagomi are Western style with comfortable beds, plenty of free toiletries, and contemporary furnishings.

Guest Rooms
Hatago Nagomi has 15 guest rooms over 4 floors. Guest rooms come in two types: there are 9 Standard Twin rooms and 6 Deluxe Twin rooms which are more spacious. All rooms are non-smoking and overlook the lake. All rooms are furnished with high-end Simmons beds with pocket coil mattresses that ensure a good night’s sleep. Guest rooms are supplied with air conditioning and heating systems, a TV, a refrigerator, a writing desk with a telephone, an electric kettle, a hair dryer, a safe for your valuables, slippers, and traditional samue lounge wear that can be worn anywhere on the hotel premises.

All rooms have their own private bathrooms with a bathtub, a shower, and a toilet with a washlet. Bath towels are supplied and there are complimentary amenities such as shampoo, conditioner, body soap, hand soap, shaving razors, hairbrushes, toothbrushes, deep cleansing oil, moisturizing lotion, and moisturizing cream.

Breakfast & Dining
From Monday to Friday breakfast consists of a choice between a Western style or a Japanese style set breakfast. On Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays, there is a buffet style breakfast which includes eggs, grilled fish, salad, fruit, curry, fresh bread, juice, milk, and yogurt. Breakfast costs 1,200 yen for adults or 600 yen for children who are elementary school-aged or younger.
The hotel restaurant is also open in the evening from 17.00 to 21.00, serving multi-course kaiseki style dinners as well as set meals and a la carte dishes.
This hotel also has a café and bar open from 7.00 to 23.00 serving a range of soft drinks and fine alcoholic beverages that you can enjoy while overlooking the lake.

Hatago Nagomi has a 24-hour front desk with staff who are happy to help you with your sightseeing inquiries and who can advise you on local fishing, hiking, and mountain climbing activities.
Check-in time is from 15.00 and check-out is by 11.00.
There is a gift shop on the 1st floor selling local craft products and other unique souvenirs from 7.00 to 21.00.
Hatago Nagomi has its own onsen hot spring spa with communal baths separated by gender. The milk white natural mineral waters here are believed to be good for a range of health problems such as neuralgia, muscle pain, rheumatism, skin problems, diabetes, and high blood pressure. They also provide a welcome relief from fatigue. The spa is open from 5.30 to 10.00 and 15.00 to 24.00.

Location
Hatago Nagomi is a 7-minute walk from the Chuzenji Onsen Bus Terminal. This bus terminal is a 50-minute bus ride from the JR and Tobu Nikko Stations. Here is a map showing Hatago Nagomi’s location.
